A moment in crime. Meeting Morrissey outside a concert venue in Llandudno, Wales. April 2006. He looks almost to be saying: "No not you again Dickie". Quite.
I'd run a mile if I bumped into me. Still, this photo appears in the very good 2009 tome: "The Day I Met Morrissey" scripted by none other than Dickie Davies of World of Sport fame. www.thedayimetmorrissey.com
I once posted this photo to Flickr and within 15 minutes 260 people had "nicked" it. Fair play - share and share alike etc.
I remember the MozFather had been kipping on his tour bus which had rather fetching Italian number plates. He didn't stop for autographs. In fact he darted into the National Wales Theatre (or whatever its called) very quickly.
Still, a smile, a wince, whatever. I love this picture.
the gig was immense. Alain Whyte in the fold then. I remember a girl perched high on the shoulders of her boyfriend and dancing crazily to "Reader Meet Author". She knew all the words and was giving it some. It was great to watch.
Gig was a tiny gym. Well, it seemed like that until they redeveloped the place the year after. I seem to remember stumbling in to the place in 2008 and Duffy was playing. The venue seemed to have been transformed into an arena. full too.
Anyway, what a ramble. Best thing about that night was a fab Thai restaurant by the train station. Duffy was good actually. Well a fraction as good as the Morrissey show.
